- Classification: HEO8 - Base salary from $119,264 + 17% superannuation

About the position
The Strategic Project Manager leads and coordinates complex, cross-functional projects to advance the School's strategic goals in a digital and AI-enabled environment. Reporting to senior leadership, the position bridges strategy, delivery, and governance by translating priorities into integrated programs. It is essential for embedding responsible and effective digital and AI approaches across education, research, workforce development, industry engagement, and operations, while supporting decision-making through data-driven insights, strong governance, and modern project management to keep the School agile and aligned with university frameworks.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess advanced qualifications or equivalent experience in project management, along with a proven track record of leading complex, organization-wide projects in large, matrixed environments. They should demonstrate strong skills in translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, utilizing data, digital tools, or AI insights to inform decision-making, and maintaining robust governance and risk management practices. Effective stakeholder management, the ability to handle multiple projects amid ambiguity and change, experience managing budgets and resources, especially for digital transformation initiatives, and highly developed communication skills for executive briefings and reports are essential attributes for success in this position.
