Job Title: Strategist, Study Abroad Programs
Division: Academic Affairs
Reports To: Director, Careers, Internships, and Achievement
Job Summary
Within the Office of Careers, Internships, and Achievement (CIA), the study abroad strategist is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, assessing, and improving international education programs such as study abroad, international student exchange, global service learning, and global internships. The strategist will also receive cross-training to support the full range of CIA services.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversees the study abroad application and approval process.
- Supports processes that monitor and respond to health and safety issues.
- Identifies and nominates students for endowed scholarships and grants.
- Assists in the collection, tabulation, and analysis of outcomes data.
- Provides career coaching including resume review, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Coordinates and conducts pre-departure orientations and post-return debriefings.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in advising and mentoring students in higher education preferred
- Study Abroad experience preferred
