Painting and Finishing: Applies paints, stains, and finishes to the interior and exterior of buildings and fixtures. Prepares surfaces and selects appropriate materials to achieve a high-quality finish.

Minor Electrical and Plumbing Repairs: Conducts minor electrical and plumbing repairs as necessary. Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to electrical and plumbing systems within the structures.

Preventative Maintenance: Proactively identifies potential issues with structural elements on campus, elevating to supervisor when appropriate. Performs preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of buildings and fixtures. Collaborates with other maintenance and facilities staff to develop and implement maintenance schedules.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, journey level accomplishment in the masonry and/or carpentry trades, at least 4 years related experience, or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
  
  
• Safety-conscious. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces. Stamina for extended periods of physical activity.
  
  
• Proven experience in carpentry, masonry, and general construction work.
  
  
• Knowledge of and experience in applying paints, stains, and finishes.
  
  
• Familiarity with electrical and plumbing systems for minor repairs.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:

The expected rate for this position is $27.00 Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
