Position Summary:
The Student Affairs Communication Specialist will be responsible for supporting the communication and marketing efforts of the division. This position will work collaboratively with campus partners to design multimedia marketing campaigns to share across channels to enhance student engagement and participation in events and campus traditions.
Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, this position will write and edit various communication materials, including website content, social media posts, newsletters, and email campaigns. This position would have shared responsibility for the recruitment and supervision of the Student Marketing Team. The candidate for this role must have experience in graphic design, social media management, and written communication.
Minimum Education/Experience/Skill:
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skill:
- Knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office suite, email, booking software). Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to manage and create content for social media.
- Knowledge of web content and email marketing platforms.
- Ability to write, edit, and proofreading skills across various platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with campus community and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple projects and administrative tasks effectively.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
