Qualifications
Education Requirements: In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer)
Experience Requirements: Student employees must have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, creativity, cultural awareness and sensitivity and the ability to complete a broad range of responsibilities/projects with limited supervision. Student employees must also have strong customer service skills and an interest in research, as well as an interest in participating in events and discussions.

Will determine schedule based on student's availability. Must have some availability to work during the following hours:
- Sunday: Not available
- Monday: 8 am to 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8 am to 4:30 PM
- Wednesday: 8 am to 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 8 am to 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8 am to 12:00 pm
- Saturday: Not available
Maximum hours per week: 15 hours

About the Team
Responsibilities
Duties of Position:
Will positively represent the department to fellow students, faculty, staff, administrators, and visitors and perform a range of roles including research, data analyses, event planning, special projects and participating on campus committees.
- Assisting with the management of department social media account including post creation and scheduling.
- Assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
- Researching best practices at other colleges.
- Participating in team trainings and readings to stay informed on DEI related news and culturally competent practices.
- Supporting programs sponsored by the department.
- Representing the department during informational/outreach/committee meetings.
- Distributing general information about the office and its programs and services.
- Compiling/analyzing data.
- Covering the reception desk and lounge area at the Cultural Center.
- Providing customer service and event support in the Cultural Center.
- Managing a range of office projects
- Completing other duties as assigned.
