Position Summary

Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Student Assistant to work in the Rehabilitation & Movement Science Department. The Student Assistant will assist during communication sessions involving Speech-Language Pathology students and Spanish Portuguese-speaking adults in a community program. Responsibilities include providing consecutive interpretation and translating printed materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining records.
• Organizing equipment and materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Must have graduated from or currently enrolled in a Rutgers University program.

Physical Demands

• Standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
• No special vision requirements.

Work Environment

Working with multiple students in a busy environment and multi-tasking while being empathetic yet helping students to meet the standards for coursework.

Salary

$15.49 per hour
