Primary duties include:

• Communicate fleet and equipment maintenance and repair needs to BRI administrative staff.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair, as approved, on BRI fleet, including vehicles, OHVs, and trailers, etc.
• Coordinate with BRI staff to outsource fleet maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of field equipment in support of research and operations.
• Assist with upkeep and cleanliness of storage barn and shop area.
• Ensure fleet maintenance and repair logs are updated and accurate (oil changes, tire rotations, outsourced repair details, etc.).
• Ensure all vehicle and trailer registrations are up to date (keep log updated).
• Ensure all vehicles are clean upon return.
• Assist with periodic cleaning and organization of on-board essentials of vehicles.
• Periodically start and idle ATVs/UTVs to ensure in good condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervision: Reports to the Associate Director of Operations, Borderlands Research Institute.
