Job Summary
The International Public Policy & Management Institute (IPPMI) Student Assistant plays a vital role in helping international professionals participating in the IPPMI program transition to life in the United States and engage within the UK campus community. This position provides support, promotes cultural exchange, and contributes to a welcoming environment. The IPPMI Student Assistant serves as a friendly resource for IPPMI participants, helping them navigate academic, social, and cultural challenges during their time at the university. The IPPMI Student Assistant will assist in updating resource guides/online resources, navigating U.S. customs, social norms, and daily life.
Required Education
Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Kentucky.
Required Related Experience
Fluency in Korean is required.
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience working with international populations is a plus.
