Student Assistant, Part Time

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under direction of the Principal Investigator, performs and assists with laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory. Use both mammalian cell and mouse models and employ techniques including proteomics/genomics, metabolomics, flow cytometry, biochemical and cell biology techniques.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Assist lab workers with assigned tasks, as required.
• Organize lab resources and assist in the set up and conducting of experiments, as required.
• Handle additional related lab responsibilities as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies at Rutgers University in a relevant science.
