Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate location or person.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Sort and distribute mail and packages.
- Assist with various administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, data entry, filing, and scanning.
- Complete training and other professional development opportunities.
- Assist with events and programs.
- Assist Student Affairs Specialist with new organization and re-organization processes, including paperwork and documentation.
- Distribute and maintain marketing materials for the department, including yard signs, table tents, sandwich boards, and posters.
- Support SSD with accommodation requests and needs.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the team.
Other Requirements for the Position: To qualify for this opportunity, we ask that you meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student at SHSU.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Location Requirement: This position is based exclusively at the Sam Houston Conroe Campus (Health Professions Building). Applicants must have reliable transportation to Conroe and be available to work on-site at this location.
Confidentiality & Compliance: This position involves handling sensitive and confidential student information. A signed agreement and completion of provided compliance training are required upon hire.
