Responsibilities
- Assist in the identification of safety data sheets for laboratory chemicals.
- Assist in weekly inspections of waste storage areas to ensure integrity of waste containers.
- Assist in the preparation of universal waste for pickup by waste vendor.
- Assist in the testing of emergency showers and eyewashes.
- Prepare training rosters and training materials when necessary.
- Conduct monthly automated external defibrillators (AEDs) inspections.
- Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections.
- Conduct research regarding environmental, occupational, and research guidelines and regulations.
- Distribute new waste containers.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Other Requirements for the Position
- Valid driver’s license.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
