Student Employment and Engagement Coordinator - Hybrid
Reporting to the Director of Talent Management and Development, the Student Employment and Engagement Coordinator facilitates the end-to-end student employment lifecycle and provides critical support for college-wide talent initiatives. This role serves as the central point for the college’s student employment program, ensuring policy adherence and fostering an inclusive work environment for student employees.
The Coordinator acts as the primary logistical and administrative lead for the Talent Management team, supporting Learning and Development (L&D), employee engagement, and performance management programs through data reporting, communications, and event coordination.
Position Responsibility:
- Student Employment Coordination & Communication: Facilitate the full-cycle student recruitment process, including posting positions and managing timelines. Serve as the central liaison between hiring departments and administrative offices (Payroll, Student Financial Services). Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting student employment inquiries (Salesforce) and supporting supervisor development. Own the cyclical communication plan to hiring managers and student workers.
- Student Employment Policy & Program Administration: Maintain and update Student Employment handbooks and procedural materials. Coordinate the distribution of hiring guidelines and ensure compliance with Federal Work-Study regulations. Consult with departments to define and document student position descriptions. Own the student employment lifecycle and partner with the Student Employment IT Analyst on Workday efforts.
- Talent Management & Engagement Support: Execute logistical coordination for development and engagement programs (supplies, venue, catering, tech). Administer the technical side of Talent Development, including learning assessments and Workday Performance Management system testing. Manage HR communications, including website updates and promotional materials for recognition events.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Special Projects: Contribute to departmental success by assisting with broader HR initiatives, such as seasonal events, data audits, or process improvement projects. Collaborate with HR colleagues to provide backup support for general inquiries and participate in team-wide initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- At times throughout the academic year, supervise the student employees for the HR office.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years’ experience in an HR functional role (preference for experience in student employment and employee engagement programming)

- High-Level Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to maintaining accurate program records, updates to intranet sites, invitations, etc. where precision is critical.
- Complex Project Coordination: Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent timelines, such as the annual student hiring peak season and staff recognition events; without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
Technical & Policy Expertise
- HR Systems Proficiency: Demonstrated successful experience using Workday (or similar HCM), Salesforce, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite to track data and automate workflows.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Experience interpreting and applying complex guidelines, specifically Federal Work-Study regulations.
- Digital Communication Design: Ability to create and maintain engaging digital content, including website updates and promotional flyers for engagement programming.

Flexibility & Schedule
We value a collaborative hybrid environment. Our standard schedule includes three days on campus to connect with the team, with two days of remote work. We also offer the potential for increased remote flexibility during our summer and winter sessions.
Salary:
The pay range for the role is $60,000.00 - $67,000.00
