Student Engagement Coordinator
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Campus Life, the Student Engagement Coordinator will provide overall leadership and collaboration for registered student organizations, campus intramurals, and leadership programming. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the student organization process, fostering an environment that supports campus engagement, leading intramurals, and collaborating with campus colleagues to develop and maintain a leadership training process. Additional responsibilities include supervision of student worker staff who will assist with programmatic events and marketing efforts. This position is a live-on position and will be part of an on-campus duty rotation.

- Supports learning through performance of essential job functions and performing other duties and functions as necessary or as assigned.
- Assist the Director with Student Organization Management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review all student organization events and meetings
- Request space for all student organization events and meetings and constantly communicate with student leaders and University Events
- Conduct trainings for advisors
- Provide event management support and logistics
- Serve as the liaison between Aurora University risk management and student organizations to ensure all risk has been assessed and necessary steps taken
- Communicate with Chartwells Food Service to ensure all student organization events requesting food are organized
- Create, implement, and evaluate a robust leadership training program for student organization leaders and students.
- Supervise the Aurora University Orgs Council by attending all related meetings, assisting with agenda and guest speakers and serve as the point person for all Council members.
- Assist with staffing evening and weekend events organized by the Office of Campus Life and Student Organizations as necessary.
- Provide support for eRezLife operations in the Office of Campus Life.
- Develop, plan and market a robust intramural experience.
- Assessment - Perform regular assessment and data analysis of executed campus events, establishing attendance records and opportunities for student feedback to enhance the student experience and ensure student and institutional needs are met.
- Financial Management - Maintain appropriate financial records in relation to programming expenditures in coordination with established budget.
- Collaboration with On-Campus Colleagues - Facilitate relationship building with other departments to coordinate campus wide events that will complement existing campus events and traditions.
- Staff Supervision - Oversee the student worker staff within the Office of Campus Life, trained to help facilitate campus engagement programming events and marketing efforts.
- Other duties as assigned by members of the Campus Life Leadership Team.
Education:
- Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
- Campus event planning experience preferred.
