Responsibilities
- The Student Enrichment Specialist provides support to students from the Unconquered Scholars Program and NextGen Noles to support student academic success, graduation, engagement, and retention.
- Provides assistance to Unconquered Scholars Program and Next Gen Noles students by offering coaching services on issues affecting retention, campus engagement, professional planning, financial management, and personal development. Builds trusting relationships with target student population through personalized, constructive, engaging, motivating, and informative meetings. Meets with students on a recurring basis throughout the academic year, records relevant information, and provides appropriate referrals to campus and community resources. Assists with program recruitment and administer program onboarding meetings to new students.
- Assists with the coordination and facilitation of program events such as small group workshops, social activities, educational trips, and stakeholder collaborations. Responsible for general upkeep of Unconquered programming spaces including Food & Resource Pantry and Study Suite. Serves as primary advisor for the Unconquered Scholars Student Advisory Board. Maintains knowledge of campus and community resources and opportunities available to students in these specific populations.
- Provides one-on-one academic advising for participants in the areas of college transition and course selection. Takes a proactive approach to supporting students, seeking out contact with students who are not enrolled for future semesters to understand potential needs for enrollment. Maintain relationships with program alumni in support of alumni engagement initiatives. Maintains, records, and reports contact with assigned students and alumni.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of student staff and program interns. Actively participate in professional development or trainings for continuous growth in the position with emphasis on advising, coaching, and student development skills. Engage in other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
- A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.

Anticipated Salary Range
$44,056, commensurate with education and experience.
