Student Experience Research Role

Job Description:

Part time role working 18.75 hours per week using research & insights to improve student experiences & shape a seamless journey across the learner lifecycle.

Mō te tūka | The role

Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful change? Join our Student Experience team to lead research and feedback initiatives that shape a distinctive Aotearoa New Zealand student journey. This role blends strategy, analysis, and collaboration to improve experiences across the student lifecycle.

Some tasks of the role include:

  • Leading key student and graduate surveys from design to reporting
  • Mapping the student journey and identifying areas for improvement
  • Coordinating the student survey calendar and working group
  • Advising teams on best practice for student feedback and research
  • Ensuring compliance with ethics, privacy, and pastoral care codes
  • Documenting research and insights to support business continuity

Permanent role, 18.75 hours per week (0.5 FTE) at our Lincoln Campus. Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum pro rata to part time hours (i.e. $32,500 - $37,500 pa total).

Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role

You will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in data science, social science, marketing or similar
  • 3+ years' experience in customer or student experience research
  • Strong skills in survey design, data analysis, and reporting
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation and pastoral care codes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with tools like Qualtrics, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Office suite
  • Alignment with Manaakitaka and Lincoln University values.
