Student Fees Administrator

About the Role

The Student Fees Administrator reports to the Fees and Scholarships Team Leader and contributes to the delivery of high-level customer service to both internal and external customers of the University. The role operates with a strong team focus and responds to client needs in a dynamic environment.

This position delivers accurate, compliant and up-to-date advice on student fees and is responsible for resolving fee-related issues. Key functions include administering Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP), processing student loans, managing student and sponsor receipting, supporting cancellation and reinstatement processes, and issuing Statements of Account in line with policy and compliance requirements.

The role plays a key part in the administration of student debt-related processes, including CSP and ESOS cancellations, and works closely with internal teams such as Enrolments, Finance, Marketing and ESOS Compliance to ensure accurate student communications and timely outcomes. The position also contributes to the efficient and effective delivery of services across the Graduations, Fees and Scholarships team and broader Student Administration. 

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Delivering high-quality administrative support within a client-focused environment
  • Process student and sponsor receipting and generate Statements of Account in line with compliance requirements
  • Supporting fee adjustments, cancellations and reinstatements, including pre- and post-census activity
  • Responding to fee payment extension enquiries and assist with student debt processes, including referrals to external collection agencies
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through clear, timely and ethical communication
  • Contributing to continuous improvement through process reviews, quality initiatives and participation in team planning activities
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs while working independently and collaboratively within a team 

Qualifications

  • Completion of a diploma-level qualification with relevant work experience, or certificate-level qualification with post-certificate relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement)
