Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to students and their families applying for financial aid and to process related applications and funds along with providing support to the Financial Aid and Business Office.

Front desk coverage including but not limited to communicating with students over the phone, in person, and/or through email conveying FAFSA completion, financial aid account information, billing, refunds, MacBook returns, book vouchers, and tax forms (1098-T, W9).
Provide accounting, clerical, and administrative support as needed to Student Financial Services Supervisor, Financial Aid Director.
Process/Image student financial aid forms through Perceptive Content.
Analyze student documents regarding including but not limited to immigration status, veteran status, ward of court, and dependency overrides.
Process outside agency requests for verification of financial aid.
Maintain access to all federal Department of Education websites.
Adjust aid due to financial aid over awards.
Evaluate and review housing applications for housing move-in approval through a student account audit.
Assist with FAFSA completion/registration activities.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality.
Advance and advocate a campus climate that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

This is a full-time, grade 4, support position with an hourly wage of $19.27. Benefits include health, dental, long-term disability and group life insurance; retirement, tuition waiver; paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma.
Work experience in related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Business/accounting education.
National Career Readiness Certificate a plus.
Bilingual proficiency a plus.
