ensuring the seminary’s financial aid procedures are compliant with state and federal laws and regulations, as well as seminary policies; preparing for and participating in the yearly financial aid audit; and conducting periodic presentations to students and other interested parties on financial aid policy and procedures.
The Financial Aid Officer works closely with the Director of Student Services (primary supervisor), Vice President for Finance and Administration (secondary supervisor), Director of Admissions, Admissions Counselors, and United’s Accountant to provide United’s students with a seamless and professional financial aid experience.
The ideal candidate will have prior training and at least two years experience administering student financial aid programs at a postsecondary institution required; Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, education, or a related field preferred; advanced degrees or certifications in financial aid administration are advantageous; Experience with educational student management software and PowerFAIDS required; Blackbaud SIS preferred.

This position is .8 FTE/32 hours a week and requires the employee to routinely work on campus for at least two (2) days (or 16 hours of the 32) per work week.
