The Student Fees and Funding team is a friendly and supportive team with around 35 staff who manage central fee processes and a wide range of financial support and funding opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants and students. This includes scholarships, bursaries and loan programmes, international schemes and central financial assistance, working closely with a range of stakeholders across the collegiate University to support students to pursue their studies.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the delivery of access to education at Oxford, part of the group responsible for administering undergraduate financial support and on-course awards to help students to succeed in their studies.

The Student Funding Administrator will be responsible for the administration of the Crankstart Scholarship Programme, supporting over 1,500 undergraduate Scholars with bursaries, and liaising with other teams regarding volunteering and internship opportunities. They will act as the administrative lead for targeted funding, including support for care-experienced and estranged students. The postholder will also assist with the administration of Oxford’s bursary package and other financial assistance schemes.

The role also plays an important part in providing clear, accurate and empathetic guidance to prospective and current students, as well as to colleges and University staff.

About You

Possessing excellent administrative and organisational capabilities, you should also be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrable commitment to working as part of a team. Strong IT skills and a good standard of numeracy are essential, as is the ability to empathise with students requiring assistance. You will have a genuine interest in student funding issues in UK higher education.

This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visa & Immigration points-based system. We are therefore unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
