Position Summary:
AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Student Life Officer
This staff member will have an important role in working with the different student groups in coordinating, executing and monitoring various activities and initiatives. The Officer will also need to understand basic budgeting and tracking of inventory. On occasion, this position requires staff presence on weekends, public holidays and after office hours. This position will involve administrative duties such as following up with vendors, logistics, addressing student queries and other related duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Each duty should:
- Create life-long experiences for students through various professional development initiatives
- Provide administrative support to Director, provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.
- Support student clubs/societies and other student organizations
- Coordinate Student Activity calendar.
- Assist with other Student Life events such as New Student Orientation and Welcome Back event and others.
- Coordinate projects and undertake project work around the need of student engagement. This requires taking responsibility for the co-ordination and progress of assigned projects ensuring the timely recording of activity against objectives.
- Offer responses to student requests or concerns in a timely manner. Ensure student feedback is obtained to maintain the highest levels of student satisfaction.
- Respect confidentiality – all confidential information as it relates to students should be kept private and only disclosed to appropriate persons.
- Any other tasks related to role.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education (Minimum / Preferred):
bachelor’s degree (master’s degree advantage) in sports, physical education, human anatomy, psychology, counselling, leadership, higher education, or any other related discipline.
Experience (Minimum / Preferred):
At least two years’ work experience in related field; prior experience in higher education is an advantage.

Languages:
Near Native Speaker of English – Arabic an advantage.
