Student Recruitment and Admission Officer - Transfer Enrollment - Bellarmine University

The Student Recruitment and Admission Officer, Transfer Enrollment is responsible for representing Bellarmine University to multiple constituencies, including prospective students, their families, advisors, partners and community contacts. This role will help in the expansion and diversification of Bellarmine University's student population and geographical reach. The Student and Recruitment Officer, Transfer Enrollment will independently develop and implement recruiting initiatives to meet application and enrollment goals. The officer will conduct a holistic review of transfer student applications for their assigned school, and others as assigned. This position must be effective at independently planning recruitment strategies including transfer partner fairs/visits and individual meetings for their assigned territory of travel. This position will also work with community-based partnerships that generate additional enrollment across all student populations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with their Assistant Dean and other senior leadership to determine territory and market areas of focus for the recruitment of qualified transfer students for admission and matriculation.
  • Achieve targeted recruitment goals and build relationships with key stakeholders in the assigned school and territory.
  • Work with a variety of community-based partners to facilitate and support diversified enrollment across all student populations.
  • Travel to maintain assigned territory.
  • Establish relationships with key schools in select markets (through transfer partner campus visits, advisor meetings, college fairs, and other events either in person or virtually).
  • Manage admission applications of students in assigned school, which includes assisting students through the admission process, as well as reading, reviewing, interviewing, and making admission recommendations.
  • Maintain contacts with prospective students and events in Slate CRM (customer relationship management) system; respond to inquiries for admission information by phone, email, text and in-person.
  • Maintain accurate reports and records pertaining to school visits, telephone contacts, admission files and year-end recruitment analysis.
  • Provide prospective students and their families with basic tuition discount details, scholarship and financial aid information.
  • Assist with community-based partners/organizations that generate enrollment pipelines.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, frequent supervisor check-ins, participate in on-campus admission committee meetings as required; on-campus admission programs, student events and other visit days as required by Assistant Dean or other senior leadership.
  • Track expenses and coordinate activities to stay within recruitment budget; evaluate ROI of strategies in assigned territory to determine effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Manage additional tasks as assigned by Assistant Dean and other senior leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of work experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in student recruitment, education advocacy or college counseling
  • Experience working in an institution of higher education
  • Knowledge and understanding of Slate (or a Customer Relationship Management system)
  • Demonstrated ability to present information to small and large groups
