Percentage of Employment: 100%

Months of Employment: 12 Months Per Year

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Schedule and shift are subject to change in accordance with department needs.)

About Us: The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is designed to support student veterans, dependents, and active-duty service members with enrollment, academic success, and reintegration to Fullerton College.

Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for coordinating one or more student services program activities; implementing policies and procedures; and performing a variety of complex program coordination duties.

Essential Functions: Coordinates program activities, ensures implementation of policies, serves as a resource, develops outreach, attends meetings, designs electronic platforms, provides information to students, gathers data, assists in budget preparation, supervises staff, and participates in diversity efforts.

Working Relationships: Maintains frequent contact with various departments, outside agencies, students, staff, and public.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of District operations, laws, English usage, project management, computer software, budget principles, and more. Ability to interpret policies, supervise staff, and communicate effectively.

Special Requirements: Requires a valid driver’s license.

Minimum Qualifications: Sixty (60) semester units and five (5) years of experience or Bachelor’s degree, three years of professional experience, and commitment to diversity.

Desirable Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of student veterans, experience with budgets, partnerships, and equity-minded approaches.

Working Conditions: Professional environment with sitting, standing, and repetitive use of upper extremities.
