The Students Directorate is responsible for enhancing the student experience and success across the University, including the delivery of advising services, student support initiatives, and strategic programs that improve retention, engagement, and outcomes.

As a key leader within Student Advising, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a consistent, high-quality advising model across CQUniversity. Your primary objective will be to design and implement advising frameworks, tools, and capability initiatives that enable personalised, evidence-based support across the student lifecycle. You will analyse advising data and student insights to drive continuous improvement, collaborate with stakeholders to embed best practice, and support change initiatives that strengthen the student success ecosystem.

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative professional with strong experience in program design, stakeholder engagement, and large-scale organisational initiatives. You will confidently lead projects, influence practice, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex environment.

Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing student advising, support or student success frameworks in a complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and insights to inform decision-making, continuous improvement and strategic outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence practice across diverse teams.
  • Experience developing capability uplift initiatives, including training, resources or professional learning programs.
  • High-level organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
