Student Support Guide
Assist with student support services for prospective, applied, and current students, recruitment and admission efforts which include applications, campus tours, new student orientation, placement testing, Macomb OneCard, and registration.
- Be intuitive to the feelings and interests of a diverse population of students and sta?.
- Contribute to an enthusiastic and supportive environment that encourages student success.
- Welcome and triage students upon office entry. May be assigned to work in the Enrollment Services lobby, the Welcome Center, or Placement Testing on any given day.
- Answer calls on the ACD line, make outbound calls and respond to emails from various departmental mailboxes.
- Assist and support students, staff, and faculty in the various student service processes that could include:
- Admission account/application
- Registration - credit and workforce/continuing education
- Student updates/transcript requests
- New Student Orientation
- Macomb OneCard
- Placement Testing
- Forms/My Macomb
- Account activation and password resets
- Direct students to appropriate offices as needed for assistance.
- Placement Test administration, including test proctoring, processing test scores in Colleague, maintaining accurate test records, and providing copies of scores to students as needed.
- Provide support as needed for campus tours/events.
- Assist with student data entry in both Recruit and Colleague.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
- Participate in departmental training as appropriate.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
High school diploma; some college coursework helpful.
