The University Supervisor is an adjunct faculty instructor in the Teachers College (TC) under The Office of Teacher Education Services and Clinical Practice (OTES-CP). The supervisor serves as the liaison between TC and the P-12 school where teacher candidates are placed for their student teaching experience. The primary function of the university supervisor is to provide guidance for the teacher candidate in their development of teaching competency, complete assessments which demonstrate that competency, and lend assistance to the mentor teacher.

University Supervisors also must: attend training, complete visits, conduct conferences, complete evaluations, communicate weekly, and assign grades.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field of teacher education
• Valid teaching license
• At least three years teaching experience
• Valid driver’s license
