Required Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a B.Sc. in a natural resource-related program
- Ability to use a personal computer for basic reporting, documentation, and developing presentations
- Strong work ethic
- Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Must be willing to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to present findings at Sul Ross State University and at least 1 wildlife-related conference
- GPA of 2.5
- Dedication of up to 19 hrs/week to research project
Primary Responsibilities
What: Assist graduate students with research projects in the field and/or lab. Major focuses are Big Game, Conservation Biology, Game Birds, and Habitat. Tasks include deploying/monitoring field equipment, handling captured wildlife, conducting habitat management, surveys, greenhouse work, data collection and analysis, time tracking, equipment care.
When: 2025-26 SRSU Academic Calendar (Sept. 1 - May 31)
Where: SRSU campus and field-research locations (remote and harsh conditions possible)
