You’ll also work closely with faculty and business support teams to ensure students can overcome barriers to learning and succeed in their studies. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll provide one-to-one support, run workshops, offer accommodation and financial advice, and signpost students to specialist services when needed. You’ll also play a key role in safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing Delivering welfare services through appointments, workshops, and events Advising on accommodation, funding, health, and learning support Acting as part of the safeguarding team, assessing risks and making referrals Signposting students to external agencies for specialist support Providing emergency assistance for students in immediate distress What We’re Looking For A calm, reassuring presence with excellent communication skills Experience supporting individuals with welfare or wellbeing needs Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health, and inclusion practices Ability to guide colleagues on sensitive student issues Ideally, experience in Higher Education (but not essential) Knowledge of child protection, adult at risk, Prevent legislation, housing, and benefits would be a bonus.
