Position Summary
- Engages in new first-year recruitment activities off campus, including but not limited to high school visits, college fairs and other events, both in Pennsylvania and out-of-state (emphasis). Non-traditional hours (weekend, weeknight, and overnight) may be required
- Manages a cohort of first-year student applications and recommends admission decisions to Associate Director/Director
- Responsible for small and large group presentations
- Serve as counselor for the day, and provides frequent recruitment and admission counseling, working with individuals, families and groups on an in person, telephone or electronic basis
- Helps coordinate bus trips to campus
- Staffs departmental presentations, open house activities and other reception style events
- Obtains information through self-study, training, or existing staff to represent the opportunities associated with enrolling at the University
- Establishes contact-intensive interpersonal communication with prospective students and their families.
- Other related duties as required to support the operation of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at SRU
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and valid driver’s license
Successful performance in an interview
Preferred Qualifications
Successful professional recruitment experience working in a college/university Admissions Office
