Position Purpose: The Substitute Assistant Teacher supports teachers with childcare responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Some experience working with children.
• Completion of required training including training in universal precautions.
• Maintains pediatric First Aid/CPR training certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school graduate.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Key Accountabilities:

• Assists regular staff with childcare in a play-based curriculum.
• Works with children ranging from 6 weeks to 54 months.
• Assists in supervising children, participating in play, and engaging children.
• Participates in some light housekeeping.
