AREA SUPERVISOR, ANIMAL RESOURCES, Division of Comparative Medicine (DCM), to supervise the operation of a separate animal facility on the MIT campus. Will remain fully cognizant of the detailed operation of the animal facility and ensure that animal husbandry procedures are carried out properly and according to established SOP’s; directly supervise animal care personnel; and interact with the research community and maintain ongoing, productive communication with the representatives of each investigative group.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: at least one year of directly related supervisory experience and strong communication skills. PREFERRED: B.S. in animal science, veterinary technology, or related field; AALAS certification as a laboratory animal technologist; and training experience. Some weekend work will be required.
