"Supervisor, Clinical Operations - Kansas City, MO - Full Time"

Western Governors University is seeking a Supervisor, Clinical Operations for a full-time position in Kansas City, MO. This role ensures clinical sites support nursing students' needs as defined by the curriculum and state regulations. The position develops relationships with site leadership for optimal student experiences and serves as a designee for the State Director of Nursing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide support for the implementation and delivery of clinical experiential learning in the Pre-Licensure nursing program.
• Assist in coordinating clinical experiences, preparing faculty schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support student success through interactions and progression.
• Supervise, manage, and evaluate clinical faculty.
• Develop and maintain clinical relationships to meet student learning objectives and support program growth.
• Carry out departmental functions and participate in meetings in the absence of the State Director of Nursing.
• Provide leadership and support to clinical faculty.
• Fulfill clinical faculty obligations if necessary.
• Lead recognition activities for faculty and students.
• Conduct program evaluation for quality standards, including retention, satisfaction, and competency.
• Identify, recruit, and review candidates for Clinical and Learning Lab Instructors.
• Conduct orientation for new faculty and staff.
• Prepare required documentation per state.
• Support student progression and academic development.
• Implement university policies and procedures.
• Represent the Pre-licensure nursing program to external groups.
• Support the Strategic Relations team.
• Assist students with learning needs and remediation in clinical environments.
• Incorporate students into safe patient care in simulated and onsite settings.
• Promote a safe work environment and comply with policies.
• Model professional standards.
• Conduct clinical site visits to ensure learning objectives are met.
• Attend required meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum: Master's Degree in Nursing, pre-approval as faculty if required, one year teaching in prelicensure nursing, current unencumbered RN license in the state, compliance with clinical facility requirements, ability to work 12-hour shifts, and basic management knowledge.
• Preferred: Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting, lifting up to 15 pounds, standing in medical settings, and 12-hour shifts.
