About the Role:
Our team is looking for a proactive and organised administrator to join us to provide excellence in learning and teaching support. This role supports learning and teaching administration and delivery across the Schools and the Faculty of Humanities for the efficient operation of units and courses, across all locations, modes of delivery, and study periods. If you are passionate about excellent service and have strong organisational and technical skills, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of learning and teaching policies, providing guidance and support to academic staff while escalating issues to the Teaching Support Manager as needed.
- Assist Academics with all aspects of unit delivery (e.g. creation and maintenance of unit outlines, assistance with the Learning Management System (Blackboard), and making all necessary resources available to students).
- Communicate effectively with staff to facilitate teaching delivery and provide user guidance on digital teaching delivery systems.
- Administer unit changes
- Support the administrative processes for engagement and payment of casual academics.
- Track critical university dates and deadlines, ensuring timely communication with staff and directing student inquiries to central services.
- Build strong relationships with learning and teaching academics through consistent feedback and communication.
- Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
Role Requirements:
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role

Curtin’s Faculty of Humanities has three academic schools that deliver a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree by research (HDR) courses.
