The School of Health, Wellness and Human Services invites applications for the Surgical Technology program.

Clinical Instructor- Surgical Technology: Clinical instructors accompany students during their clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities.

Laboratory Assistant- Surgical Technology: Lab Assistants instruct students during their Surgical Technology Laboratory courses at Onondaga Community College.

Clinical Instructor- Surgical Technology Corning Collaboration: Clinical instructors accompany students during their clinical rotations at Corning and surrounding area healthcare facilities.

Laboratory Instructor- Surgical Technology Corning Collaboration: The Lab Instructor will guide and support students during laboratory-based coursework at Corning Community College, working in coordination with the lead instructor at Onondaga Community College.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and assist students in clinical settings.
• Plan and organize daily room/case assignments.
• Assess students' skills, knowledge and behavior in the clinical setting.
• Communicate with preceptors, OR management team and clinical coordinator.

Requirements:Vary per position.

Additional Information:

• Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $49.24 hourly. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
• Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
