Responsibilities
Instruction
- Assisting clients in achieving their swimming goals
- Providing support and encouragement when teaching skills
- Maintaining a courteous and polite demeanor
- Attending a swim instructor staff meeting once per semester
Administrative Tasks
- Keeping accurate records of lessons
- Updating a client roster in google sheets regularly
- Scheduling lessons with clients
- Reading and responding to emails about available clients
- Completing report cards for group lessons participants
Qualifications
Candidates for this position should have prior group or private lesson teaching experience. It is encouraged that they be former swimmers of any level and/or hold a swim lesson instructor certification; however, prior experience is not required. Candidates will be asked about their swim instruction knowledge and asked to swim. Candidates should be prepared to provide a resume and references upon request
