We have an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys providing exceptional customer service to join our team as Switchboard Operator. In this role, you will help shape the first impressions of callers to the University by delivering a welcoming, professional, and efficient service.

As the Switchboard Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Handling a high volume of incoming calls
• Screening calls effectively and ensure they are directed to the appropriate person or department

You will have:

• Experience working in an administrative environment, responding efficiently and appropriately to telephone and email enquiries
• Excellent IT skills
• The ability to multitask in a busy environment

Based at our Sheffield campus within the Business Support team, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure callers receive a welcoming, professional, and efficient experience. You will also provide administrative and financial support to the department, including Reception facilities, and support some University-wide services.
