(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Oversees all technology, systems and data initiatives for the department ensuring department is adhering to all applicable security protocols. Assists with the support of the life safety access control systems. Manages and maintains all door access software and works with UITS related to software needs, issues and upgrade. Contributes to the development of departmental operational and strategic plans.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides development for systems workflows to expand technical efficiencies
- Manages system preparation for new installations and software maintenance, granting and distribution of electronic door access
- Works closely with campus partners to perform complex data entry and data import/export for data conversions and corrections
- Manages all annual door access permission audits
- System administrator and trainer for electronic door access systems
- Provides internal support for other related software used by the department
- Provides back-up support for customer service team during peak periods
- Maintains records and documentation to meet departmental and audit requirements
- Establishes and provides reporting and metrics for the operation
- Creates and maintains processes and procedures to ensure all work performed within established guidelines
- Works closely with campus partners to prepare comprehensive disaster recovery plan
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Required Experience
One (1) year related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Prior experience working with colleges students in a university
Direct technical and/or administrative support of one or more electronic access control systems, particular experience with SALTO System, Onity Integra and Lenel OnGuard

Ability to work in partnership with, staff, faculty, administrators and student leaders
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of SQL based systems
Knowledgeable in the development and creation of innovative programs
SKILLS
Analytical thinking and creative skills
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, higher education-related programs)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

This is not a supervisory position.
This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
This position will not be required to drive.
This role is considered a position of trust.
This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card).
This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time
This position does not require security clearance.
