About the Unit / Group
The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Research Group is a multidisciplinary team comprising endocrinologists, pharmacologists, biologists and nutritionists.
The Group conducts several lines of research in the fields of diabetes, metabolic diseases and their associated complications, encompassing epidemiological, clinical and translational research. It also develops specific research lines in the field of nutrition.
The Group is highly active, productive and competitive at both national and international levels. It is a member of XARTEC Salut, is recognised by AGAUR and includes two research groups belonging to the Spanish Biomedical Research Networking Centre —CIBER, ISCIII—.
Essential requirements
- Minimum qualification required: higher education qualification —university degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification—.
- Oral and written knowledge of both official languages of Catalonia. Candidates who do not have the required level must demonstrate or undertake to acquire an adequate command of both official languages of Catalonia within a maximum period of one year.
- Advanced level of English.
- Advanced knowledge of office software tools —Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.—.
The following will be valued
- Specialisation in Endocrinology and Nutrition.
- Documented clinical experience in endocrine disorders and pregnancy.
- Documented experience in providing psychological support to people with endocrine disorders.
Duties
The successful candidate will perform, among others, the following duties:
- Recruitment of participants for the project “Endocrine disorders, pregnancy and medium-term maternal and child status” and other related studies.
- Data collection, management and analysis.
- Preparation and submission of publications arising from the studies.
