Salary Range
$41,000 - $44,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours
up to 40 hours per week, non-exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays an important role in providing administrative support to recruiters throughout various recruiting stages.
Core Responsibilities
- Drafts job postings for UTSA's internal and external websites.
- Processes letters of employment for internal and externals hires.
- Coordinates pre-employment activities to include but not limited to processing candidate credentials and conducting criminal background checks.
- Coordinate new hire orientations (Bold New Journey) including sending email notifications to new hires, scheduling in person locations and/or virtual meetings, coordinating technology access with University Technology Services (UTS), and ensuring required documentation is completed within required deadlines to include the I-9 Form and responding to new hire inquiries.
- Organizes and attends job fairs and recruitment events.
- Identifies areas of process improvement and opportunities for efficiencies. Generates new, innovative ideas to address recruiting challenges.
- Assists in building brand awareness on social media.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience working within a human resources department or office environment.
- Relevant experience supporting systems that facilitate efficiency and effectiveness through efficient business processes, reporting, and customer service.
- Relevant experience in utilizing and developing metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools and capabilities.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.

- Ability to document and evaluate business processes, identifying opportunities for processes improvement and automation.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to assess and prioritize risks and issues and evaluate competing needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions
Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
