Job Description

The University of Florida's Talent Acquisition and Onboarding team is seeking a collaborative, strategic, and service-oriented talent acquisition professional to join the Strategic Talent Group, UF's internal executive search team. The Strategic Talent Group champions innovative strategies to attract and engage exceptional talent for key leadership roles across the university.

The Strategic Talent Group (STG), housed within UFHR's Talent Acquisition and Onboarding unit, is a consultative team of expert talent acquisition professionals who serve as the university's internal executive search resource. STG partners with colleges and units across campus to deliver exceptional, strategic recruitment services that educate, guide, and empower departments to hire and retain outstanding talent.

This position serves as an executive-level consultant playing a pivotal role in advancing the University of Florida's excellence through strategic recruitment. Our team values diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, and talents. We are committed to fostering a respectful and supportive environment where every team member can thrive and contribute meaningfully.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver full-cycle talent acquisition services, including proactive sourcing of passive candidates, managing search logistics, developing evaluation criteria, and coordinating interviews for executive and hard-to-fill staff and faculty roles.
  • Advise and support hiring authorities, committees, and panels on best hiring practices and UF policies. Provide consultation and training as requested.
  • Build talent pipelines through relationship development, proactive outreach, and strategic networking.
  • Represent UF at career events and visibility-building activities and facilitate recruitment-focused presentations and sessions.
  • Utilize platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and social media to craft and implement compelling outreach strategies.
  • Lead or support initiatives within Talent Acquisition and Onboarding that advance strategic recruitment practices across campus, including coaching and advising activities.

Expected Salary: $55,000. As part of the Gator Nation, UF employees enjoy competitive and comprehensive benefits, including flexible work schedules, health, life, and dental insurance; paid family, vacation, and sick leave; robust retirement and investment plans; and a wide range of discounts and perks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience sourcing talent across disciplines and levels, particularly in higher education.
  • Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing complex projects or events, with attention to both big-picture strategy and detail execution.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and authentic relationship-building.
  • Experience providing coaching, mentoring, or training to various audiences.
  • Professional and polished demeanor in client-facing interactions.
