We are seeking to add multiple Tax Preparers to work from either our Fairview Park or Strongsville office.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
- Analyze financial statements and records to determine tax liability.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Advise clients on tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Gather and organize client financial information and documents.
- Identify potential tax credits and deductions to increase client savings.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide guidance on tax-related issues.
- Assist with audits, including preparation of audit documents and representation.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex tax issues.
- Ensure all tax return submissions are accurate and timely.
- Use tax software to complete and file tax returns efficiently.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills through training and professional development.

Requirements
- <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation.</li><li>Proficient in tax preparation software, similar platforms such as: Lacerte, TurboTax, H&R Block.</li><li>Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and filing procedures.</li><li>Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.</li><li>Familiarity with electronic submission and e-filing systems.</li><li>Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying updated on tax law changes.</li></ul>
