Teacher - Computer Games and Animation (Part Time)
About the Role
Leeds City College are recruiting for a Teacher of Computer Games and/or Animation to join our team in the Digital Arts department, based at our state of the art Quarry Hill campus.
We are looking for a teacher to contribute to the delivery of our courses in Computer Games and Animation, at Levels 1, 2 and 3.
The ideal candidate will have skills in one or more of these areas: Game engines, 3D modelling, Game art, 2D graphics, Programming, Game design, 3D Animation, Stop motion Animation.
Please note, this is a part-time (29.6 hours per week) role. The pro rata'd salary is £25,532 with progression to £28,729 per annum.
What You Will Do
- Planning delivery of the subject matter, creating lessons and teaching resources in line with the objectives of the curriculum.
- Teaching the principles and practical skills to help our students along the path to a career in the digital and media industries.
- Tracking individual student progress: assessing work and feeding back in a way which helps learners to develop their abilities and understanding.
- Working as part of a team to create a nurturing, positive environment for the students.
About You
- Relevant, up to date knowledge of your subject specialism.
- Qualified to degree level in Media Studies, Computer Games or a related discipline.
- Hold, or be working towards a recognised teaching qualification.
- Enthusiastic and committed to the development and growth of the department.
- Comfortable delivering to groups of young people.
