"Teacher Education Clinical Supervisor Part-Time Faculty"

Job Summary

Columbus State University is inviting applications for part-time faculty in the Teacher Education Department. We are looking for clinical supervisors who will supervise our student teachers/interns in our partner school network including schools in Muscogee County School District and nearby districts.

The supervising duties include observing student teachers based on the provided timeline, evaluating candidates using evaluation rubrics, providing oral and written feedback on teaching performance and lesson/unit plans, and verifying candidates' 20 hours of professional and extracurricular activities. We need supervisors in elementary, middle, and secondary grades, particularly in theatre, special education, and computer science. Educators from other fields are also encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in the field of study or a related discipline from an accredited institution;
• Teacher certification in the field of supervision (e.g., Secondary ELA, Middle Grades Mathematics);
• Successful teaching experience at public schools (grades P-12); higher education teaching experience is preferred;
• Experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources, and other media.
