Position Information

Position Description:

The administrator will be responsible for taking minutes during board meetings, providing support for the activities of the board such a basic bookkeeping, creating basic marketing materials, establishing and maintaining the BAC website and BAC social media, supporting the board in organizing exhibitions and performances and the administration of the Community school of the Arts which includes recruiting teaching staff and market CSA programs. 

The Bridges Arts Council (BAC) is an organization providing access and support for the arts in Valley City and Barnes County. It provides access to education, performances and exhibitions and grants for art projects by third parties. 

Minimum qualifications: 

2 years of college education (AAS/AS degree or junior or senior status) in Business Administration or Communication and demonstrable experience with administrative duties, demonstrable ability to work independently with minimal supervision, an interest in working for a non-profit and an affiliation for art and music. 

Preferred qualification: 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Communication or a minor in art or music. 

Compensation:

The Bridges Arts Council is looking to hire an Arts Administrator for 10 hours a week at $20 per hour with the option to increase the weekly hours in the future. The work hours will be flexible.
