Winthrop University invites applicants to apply for a faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The Assistant Professor will teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, statistics, and/or data science, as well as courses in the general education program; advise and mentor mathematics majors, including participation in undergraduate research; participate in professional service activities for the department, college, and university; and take part in productive research/scholarly activities, etc.

Qualifications
1. PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent field
2. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and strong commitment to student learning and development, including interest in undergraduate research
3. Evidence of an ability to maintain an active scholarship agenda
4. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion that will expand the representation of underserved populations in mathematics
5. Instructional experience using technology such as computer algebra systems or statistical software packages
