Description

The Yale Child Study Center has an opening for a full-time child and adolescent psychiatrist with expertise in the provision of psychiatric evaluations, medical management and evidence-based treatment to children, teens, and families. Successful candidates will be appointed as Assistant Professor on the Academic Clinician tenure track and will be based at the Child Study Center’s new practice in Westport, Connecticut.  Services to families are offered both in person and virtually. 

Psychiatry board certified, certified or board-eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry, and Connecticut licensed or license eligible with the following skills or experiences are encouraged to apply: 

·   Experience providing clinical care to youths and their families in outpatient settings

·    Experience providing evidence-based treatments, with an emphasis on ADHD and anxiety disorders

·        Candidates from diverse backgrounds

·        Experience providing culturally and racially responsive care

 Primary responsibilities will include: 

·        Conducting psychiatric evaluations with children and adolescents

·        Providing psychoeducation to youth and families

·        Providing medication management to children and adolescents

·        Delivering cognitive behavioral therapy to youth

·        Delivering evidenced-based parenting skills training

·        Coordinating care, including attending PPTs and school meetings
