Lecturer in Children's Nursing

Fixed term contract of 9 months, part time, 22.2 hours per week

Band 6 - £41,732 to £46,974 per annum, pro rata

About the Post

The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Children’s Nursing to join their friendly and dynamic team and contribute to training the next generation of health care professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with contemporary experience in clinical practice and education.

The position of Lecturer in Children’s Nursing requires the successful candidate to contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning, teaching and assessment, as well as actively engaging in recruitment and public outreach activities.

You will be based in our new building which houses two floors of brand-new clinical simulation facilities, featuring two state-of-the-art hospital wards, a midwifery birthing unit, a new sports and exercise facility, a working radiography imaging suite, counselling/physiotherapy clinic rooms and the Suffolk Institute of Health and Wellbeing research. About the Team

Accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and underpinned by the NMC's 2018 Standards for Pre-Registration Programmes, the Children’s Nursing degree has been meticulously crafted by the course team in collaboration with practice and service users. Our dedicated and dynamic team collaborates closely with our practice partners to guarantee a positive placement experience and to optimise both theoretical and practical learning opportunities for our student’s success.

About You

You must have extensive excellent knowledge in contemporary nursing practice, be proficient in the delivery of clinical skills training, have previous experience of supporting students clinically and have a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
