We are looking for a passionate and capable professional who can support the development of a community that is safe, comfortable, supportive, conducive to academic success, and responsive to the needs of students living on campus.
Kairuruku Wharenoho / Resident Coordinators have two key areas of responsibility. The first is to support the Resident Manager(s) in providing an enabling environment that supports the emotional, physical, and academic well-being of all students in our residences. Second, is to provide administrative support and front-line customer service to residents and other tasks as need. The Resident Coordinator will also be required to be on emergency call for a selection of communities on a rotation basis with other senior staff.
We are looking for a Resident Coordinator that will support our first year students living in our Grafton Hall & Student Flats.
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent position.
Remuneration is $58,300 - $72,700 depending on skills and experience.
Resident Coordinators work Tuesday to Saturday, 2:30pm – 10:30pm during the academic year, with the opportunity for flexible hours in the summer months. Our successful candidate will be able to start work immediately.

- Experienced with event planning and execution, including risk assessments and delegation of tasks in a team environment
- Available for after-hours/weekend
- Open to learning and willing to take initiative to solve problems
As part of the front line service for Accommodation, you will be friendly, outcome focused, enthusiastic, with empathy for tertiary students. Experience working within similar educational/support environments is desirable.
