Description

Yale Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a full time cardiologist to join our faculty as a full-time member of the VA at the West Haven, CT site to serve in the role of Associate Section Chief. This role will serve as a primary resource in developing programmatic goals in clinical care, education and research in the context of the VA Healthcare environment. The Associate Section Chief will represent the Section in critical functions, including hospital committees, Departmental events, and VA national programs. All VA CT cardiology faculty participate in general outpatient care at both the West Haven and Newington campuses, and inpatient care at West Haven, and work closely with Yale fellowship trainees in all facets of patient care. A track record of clinical excellence in outpatient general cardiology or heart failure is desirable, particularly with experience in program development and oversight. Candidates must qualify for an academic appointment at Yale School of Medicine. Appointment will be in the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and in the Clinician-Educator Scholar Track.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Medical degree and be board eligible in Cardiology. Successful candidates must be well-trained clinicians, committed to faculty, fellow, and staff education. Saalry and academic rank will be determined by previous experience
