About the role:

As the Deputy Head, Melbourne with underlying role of Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor of Mathematics Education, you will play a key leadership role within the local campus providing dynamic leadership to support the role of the State Head of Victoria, Deputy National Head of School and National Head of School. As well as your Deputy Head duties, as Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor of Mathematics Education you will provide input into teaching innovations and curriculum development contributing to the activities of the National School of Education and effective coordination, supervision and/or mentoring of staff.

More specifically the role entails:

• Providing leadership to support the State Head of Victoria, Deputy National Head of School and National Head of School of Education
• Work with the National Head of School of Education to deliver strategic priorities to grow partnerships and enrolment numbers in the Faculty's Initial Teacher Education courses in Victoria
• Deliver Mathematics Education units within the workload allocation.

Ensure effective management of the staffing of courses, student experience and retention, and support services on campus

What we offer:

• Total remuneration valued to $168,512 - $182,954 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $142,625 - $154,969 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading or total remuneration valued to $190,982 - $210,230 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $161,830 - $178,282 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level D), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. The level of appointment will be determined based on the level of experience, skills and capability of the successful candidate. The assignment of Deputy Head, Melbourne attracts a Higher Duty allowance of $16,500p.a.
• 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
• Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
