Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor of Finance, School of Business

Are you passionate about finance and dedicated to excellence in teaching and scholarship? Linfield University’s School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Finance. Join our dynamic faculty and contribute to our mission of fostering academic excellence and preparing students for successful careers in finance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teach entry-level and upper-level finance courses, as well as other courses as determined by the department chair.
2. Fulfill service responsibilities including department and university service and student advising.
3. Collaborate with related academic programs to enhance the curriculum.

Required Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree, ABD in a doctorate program, or a Doctorate in finance or a closely related field.
2. Evidence of excellence in teaching or equivalent experience.
3. Demonstrated potential for success in scholarly professional achievement and department/university service.
4. Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students in a college or university setting.
5. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Undergraduate teaching experience in entry-level and upper-level finance courses.
2. Experience mentoring undergraduate students, including first-generation students.
3. Evidence of relevant experience in finance.
4. Experience in the field of financial investments and/or financial institutions or relevant experience (highly desirable).
